Acclimatization

When an organ or system is exposed to a change in its surroundings, like a drop in temperature is called acclimatization. Or to conditions that make it harder for oxygen to reach its cells, it gradually adjusts or adapts its body. You can make this change right away or over the course of a few days or weeks. As an example, when the partial pressure of oxygen is low at high elevations. The human body makes more erythrocytes (red blood cells). In warm-blooded animals, short-term reactions include shivering or sweating.
