Through this work, the author hopes to give students of histology both the theoretical and practical sides of the subject in a single website solution biologylearn.com. The first articles talk about the basics of histology. Then, in each article, the structure of the tissue or organ is described in detail. Furthermoere, the student is shown how to properly prepare the specimens that show this structure. A short list of the preparation steps is included in seprate articles. Anyone who has read a article about the practical and descriptive sides of a big topic will understand that it can’t possibly be an exhaustive treatise on any part of it.

In the practical articles, only tried-and-true methods have been included. The goal was to keep the reader’s attention on the important facts of the science by not introducing too many facts that aren’t very important to the specialist.

At this point, we seem to be quickly coming to a crossroads in the way we teach most sciences. Soon, we will have to decide if we are happy to give our students a certain amount of real knowledge or if we want to keep trying to teach them more and more useless and useless information.
